Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a Home Finance Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this key support role, you’ll work closely with our Home Finance Advisers to ensure customers receive the highest level of service throughout their Home Purchase Plan (HPP) and Buy to Let (BTL) finance journey. You’ll manage new and historic prospects, provide essential administrative and customer support, and help ensure each customer is guided smoothly and professionally.
With an excellent telephone manner and a proactive approach, you’ll be the first point of contact for many customers—building rapport, gathering information, and ensuring every enquiry is handled efficiently and with care. You will also support the promotion of Islamic Bridge Finance and other products, helping to expand our reach and generate new business opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for both new and existing customers, consistently demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette and providing professional, friendly, and efficient service at all times.
Qualify and nurture new and historic prospects, gathering essential information and preparing them for their appointment with an adviser.
Support Home Finance Advisers by managing their pipelines, booking customer appointments, preparing documentation, and ensuring all cases progress smoothly.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all customer interactions, leads, and applications, ensuring information is recorded correctly within the internal systems.
Ensuring all potential prospects that are qualified adhere to policy and criteria.
Deliver high-quality customer service.
Achieve individual targets and contribute to the overall performance of the business, minimising risk.
Generate leads and track potential customers to achieve new business goals.
Comply with the principles of Conduct Risk, Treating Customers Fairly, and Consumer Duty regulations.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in home finance, mortgage administration, or related support roles.
Experience in managing customer enquiries, leads, or appointment scheduling within a financial services environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
Proficient in computer use, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate multiple
IT systems efficiently:
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple pipelines simultaneously.
Understanding of the UK mortgage market, including Home Purchase Plans (HPP) and Buy to Let (BTL) products.
Awareness of regulatory requirements and best practices in home finance, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to maintain high ethical standards and support sharia-compliant financial solutions where applicable.
A collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills, motivated, proactive, and engaged in supporting colleagues and customers.
Desirable: Ability to speak additional languages, such as Urdu or Bengali, to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.
Willingness to upskill in areas such as BTL decision in principles and applications, with the potential to work toward CeMAP qualification in the future.
